Competition Showcase Games
.Game 1 and 2 on Day 2 will feature four teams with mixed high school students and UCLA National Championship players. The high school players will be rostered on the same teams as the UCLA players and competing in an officiated, competitive water polo game with the UCLA players as their teammates.

9:30 – 10:00 AM: Check -in

10:00 – 10:15 AM: Introduction
Introduction of UCLA Players:
1. Trey Doten-Attacker 2X NCAA Champion
2. Gray Carson-Defender/Center 2X NCAA Champion (Going to Play next year professionally in Italy)
3. Vinny Merk-Attacker Plays both sides of pool/ 2X NCAA Champion
4. Wade Sherlock-Left Handed Attacker/2X NCAA Champion
5. Marcel Szecsi-Center/Member of Hungarian National Team/2X NCAA Champion.
6. Nate Tauscher-Goalie/2X NCAA Champion
Groups: Goalie (6), Center (13), Defenders (12), Attacker (25 *Split in Half*)
10:20 – 10:40 AM: Coach led stretching and dryland
· Goalies go with Nate for Specific Goalie Stretching
10:45 – 11:05 AM: (Warm-Up)
· Abbreviated Pro 1 Warm-Up
· Goalies abbreviated Pro G Warm-Up
11:05 – 11:15 AM: (Skill Work)
· Master the Game of Water polo
· Vertical/Horizontal Positions

11:15 – 11:30 AM: (Positional Passing)
· Center Passing (Gray/Marcell)
· Defender/Attacker Cardio Passing (Trey/Vinny/Wade)
· Goalie Specific Passing (Nate)
Break-Up into 4 Groups:
11:30 – 12:15 PM: (Athlete Main Positional Training)
· Positional training at your primary position
12:15 – 12:45 PM: (Secondary Positional Training)
· Centers/Defenders Split in Two Group go to Attacker Station

Ø 15 Min Zone/6 Meter Line Shooting
Attackers Split in two Groups go to Center Defender Station
Ø 15 Min for Center Station

12:45 – 1:00 PM: (Secondary Positional Training)

· Attackers at two cages
Ø 2/3/4 Zone Shooting Challenge
1:00 – 2:00 PM: Lunch – (UCLA players with high school players)
2:00 – 3:00 PM: 6-8 Skills Challenge
· Two UCLA Players Take the Challenge
3:00 – 3:30 PM: Day 1 Wrap Up with Campers
Day 2 - Sunday, March 29th
9:30 – 10:00 AM: Check – in
Rosters posted for teams: 4 teams – Should yield two games. UCLA players split evenly on each team for both games.

10:00 – 10:15 AM: Optional: Elite Performance Assessment Challenge*
UCLA and campers – Challenge explained and demonstrated

On Day 2, 2025 UCLA National Champion Coach Adam Wright will host a Free one-hour coaching clinic for Central Valley coaches. Registration is required to reserve a place for the clinic. There is limited space available for registration. Registrations are first come, first served.
